The Ancient Greek Goddess Artemis was known as the protector of animals, the wilderness and childbirth. She is always depicted carrying a bow and arrow and was a fierce custodian of women and children. She is a wonderful goddess to wear as she lived in a time when men were always seen as the victors until she came along. It is believed that the Goddess even was revered before the Ancient Greek period.
